Event Description:
Advance registration for this event has now closed. Late registration will open at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning at the Hilton Nashville Downtown.
The dynamics within the region are changing when it comes to how we think about and approach issues that know no boundaries -- issues such as transportation and congestion, air quality and the need for an educated workforce. Leadership approaches to these issues are also changing: A 10-county Mayors' Caucus has been formed, and Nashville Mayor Karl Dean has created a Transit Alliance of Middle Tennessee.
Join leaders from the 10-county Middle Tennessee area to gain insights into how to create a new blueprint for thinking and working differently. Robert Puentes, a national expert in metropolitan policy, transportation, urban planning and growth management, suburban issues and housing, will share insights into how metro areas and regions should approach infrastructure issues, particularly transit and transportation. Mayor Dean will provide responses to his comments, as well as updates on their regional initiatives.

Robert Puentes, Senior Fellow, Brookings Institute, Metropolitan Program
The Honorable Karl Dean, Mayor of Nashville
